Heartland FM

Heartland FM was established in 1991 and after local fundraising reached £32,000 the station began broadcasting at weekends in 1992. Eventually Heartland FM became a full-time local radio service for Highland Perthshiretransmitting on 97.5 MHz FM from a studio base in Pitlochry. At the time the station was Britain’s smallest independent local radio station with 50 volunteer presenters.
